Melt the chocolate. You'll find three ways to achieve this, in the microwave, around the stovetop along with the basin or reservoir. When melting chocolate with a stovetop, utilize a double boiler and set it on the low heat. Constantly stir the chocolate in order to avoid burning.
If you melt the chocolate in the microwave, do not allow it running for too much time. Set the microwave on low heat, then position the chocolate inside a 'microwaveable' bowl. Run the microwave for 30 seconds. Remove the bowl, stir and do this again and soon you get the desired consistency.
Alternatively, when melting chocolate in the machine's basin, you'll want to stir the chocolate constantly every 3-5 minutes. Observe that basin melting normally takes approximately an hour to fully melt the chocolate with respect to the amount of chocolate used along with the size the machine.
